Pulled Pork Buns

Ingredients

2 lb. boneless pork shoulder40g brown sugar1 tspb chilli powder1 garlic clove, chopped1 red onion, choppedSalt and black pepper to taste140 ml cider vinegar120ml water½ bottle BBQ sauceFor the coleslaw:60g mayonnaise60g sour cream1 heaped tsp grainy mustard½ tsp sugar½ white cabbage2 warrots1 red onionTo serve:Bread rolls

Serves: 6-8

Preparation time: 5-10 minutes

Cooking time: 4-8 hours

Step 1

For the pork: Combine the BBQ sauce, vinegar, stock, sugar, Worcestershire sauce, chilli, onion and garlic together. Then put the pork into your slow cooker before pouring the liquid over it.

Cook on high for 4-8 hours until the pork is soft, tender and falls apart easily. Carefully remove the pork from the slow cooker and use 2 forks to pull the meat apart.

Mix some of the remaining liquid from the slow cooker into the pulled pork before emptying.

Serve in a dish alongside buns, coleslaw and salad, so everyone can help themselves.
