A traditional Italian soup absolutely bursting with flavour.

Soups Slow Cooker


  • 25g butter
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 large leek
  • 1 large carrot
  • 1 large potato
  • 1 large onion
  • 2 celery sticks
  • 175g cabbage
  • 400g canned tomatoes
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1.1L chicken stock
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 50g thin cut macaroni

Method (Serves 4)

  1. Preheat the slow cooker on High for 20 minutes.
  2. Chop the carrot, potato and onion; slice the leek and celery and shred the cabbage.
  3. Combine all ingredients (except macaroni) into the slow cooker. Cook on Low for 5 hours.
  4. Add macaroni and cook further for 1 hour, or until cooked. Adjust seasoning if necessary and serve with grated parmesan cheese.
